Love is warming.
Please take a step back from

You should banish any thoughts of how you may appear to others.

I won’t beg someone to love me. I learned long ago that there is no use in hopeless pleas of trying to make someone stay. I am too good to chase someone who does not know my worth and I am too wild to keep waiting for someone who doesn’t acknowledge my value. I want to be loved unconditionally. I shouldn’t have to fight so hard for it. I do not have the time to prove to someone that I am worth it. I shouldn’t have to prove any of that; I am worth more than that.

“Depression is hard to understand, because it is not a consistent state. Depression is rather like a virus, but like a virus, it has its manageable days and its acute, life-threatening flare-ups. You can be in a depression and still laugh at a friend’s joke or have a good night at dinner or manage…

We’ve all heard the saying “life goes on” but for those who are caught in trauma, the sad truth is that life simply doesn’t move on … Imprints of the trauma follow you everywhere … The present is always being influenced by the past.
